Max Rohr was born in 1960 in Bolzano. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and later lived in Vienna, Rome, and Florence before returning to his hometown. He is a painter known for his strongly figurative, visionary style, which combines early 20th-century influences with Northern and Central European color and visual traditions.
